Welcome to the Inner Room. A place where we can meet personally with God. It is a safe place, a place where we meet in truth as we really are. No facades, no pretending. We can expose our hurts, our fears, our failures and our triumphs.
The following list is a sampling of objectives:
- Rebuild lost self-esteem.
- Replace the hopelessness and helplessness that accompanies depression, with hope and purpose.
- Learn to deal with anxiety, stress, obsessions, and compulsions.
- Work at recognizing the unhealthy distortions in our belief systems that shape our personalities.
- Educate ourselves about our role in helping to maintain healthy patterns, and free ourselves to respond in more adaptive, helpful ways.
- Develop healthy boundary setting.
- Experience value, validation, and respect in relationships.
- Strengthen relationships as we demonstrate the ability to be influenced in positive ways.
